Established in 1991, Silicon specialises in tailoring digital technology. We work primarily with government departments and corporate businesses who recognise and appreciate the exceptional quality of the products and service we offer.

Many of our customers tell us that our commitment to quality and relationship building sets us apart from our competitors. Every aspect of the company is governed by our quality management system, which is based on the internationally recognised Malcolm Baldridge criteria and ISO 9001 quality standard. Back in 1995 we were the first computer company in New Zealand to gain ISO 9001 and are still today the only computer company in New Zealand with this qualification. Our processes together with our local focus results in the products and services we offer being highly personalised, flexible and responsive - giving us an edge over our competitors whose mass produced product and homogenous service is at the opposite end of the scale in terms of allowing for flexibility and personalisation.

SILICON AND INTEL

Silicon is one of two ‘Premier Members’ of the ‘Intel Channel Partner Program’ in New Zealand. Intel provides us with information on the latest technology developments. We work closely with their engineers worldwide and send our technical team on regular Intel training sessions to ensure they understand the products fully. We share this information with our customers, enabling them to plan ahead.

NZ MADE

Silicon is a Wellington based, New Zealand owned company with a local focus. The assembly, testing, quality control and dispatch of all Silicon computers is carried out at our Petone technical facility.
