Seagate Constellation Drives just around

Seagates launch for their Constellation Range
of Hard Drives has been pushed back slightly, with a due date now hovering
around the February 2010 mark. The Constellation range targets enterprise
class applications, suitable in products such as the Silicon McKay Creek
SAN, and Silicon Copper Mountain Server range. The feature a SAS interface
but use SATA drive technology internally, with throughput of up to 6-Gb/s,
and capacity up to 2TB. Data security and lower power consumption are
also features which should see this range enjoy a lot of popularity when
it is finally released! Check back in February for an update on the
launch date! As usual, Silicon will have drives available for testing.

Welcome to the new look Silicon Website! We've
had fun freshening up the site and updating the content to provide as
site that hopefully provides better, clearer information on our range
of products, as well as a better insight into our ever growing suite
of services. We'd love to hear what you think - if theres anything you
feel is too hard to find, anything we could add to improve things....
there will be some modifications to be made over the next few weeks as
