Seagates launch for their Constellation Range of Hard Drives has been pushed back slightly, with a due date now hovering around the February 2010  mark.  The Constellation range targets enterprise class applications,  suitable in products such as the Silicon McKay Creek SAN, and Silicon Copper Mountain Server range. The feature a SAS interface but use SATA drive technology internally, with throughput of up to  6-Gb/s, and capacity up to 2TB.  Data security and lower power consumption are also features which should see this range enjoy a lot of popularity when it is finally released!  Check back in February for an update on the launch date! As usual, Silicon will have drives available for testing.
